63 Degrees Cafe in Geelong West is all about good food and good coffee. This isn’t just something they state, they live through their extensive seasonal menu. We dropped past intending only to have a coffee… and left full as a boot.

Here’s the story. In the course of shooting our photos, we take a few pics of the treats which we’re usually able to resist. Getting up close to their amazing paleo friendly selection was a little too much, and we gave in.

It’s not just restricted to the sweets. The whole menu is fresh and seasonal. We started by roadtesting the Quinoa Salad. It was served in a generous portion and the perfect balance of fresh spinach, roasted pumpkin, quinoa and goats cheese.

That went down well with a long black in their house blend, a blend created specifically for 63 Degrees Cafe by award winning Geelong-based roasters RoastCraft.

To top it all off we added that Sweet Potato Paleo Brownie from the display cabinet. That’s when things got out of hand. Nothing wrong with the brownie itself, we just should have ordered it takeaway and given the old stomach some time to work away.

63 Degrees Cafe have created a relaxed atmosphere that’s true to it’s values. Recycled timber is heavily featured throughout, extending all the way out to a couch made from some old paletes.

Table decorations are thanks to the Flowerbowl, a local Geelong based florist in Ormond Road East Geelong. The birdcage full of fresh flowers perched on one of the main benches was our standout favorite piece.

Parking a pram is easy at 63 Degrees Geelong as they have an expansive outdoor area with settings of up to 8 making it weekend favorite.

Inside is good as well with a mix of well spaced tables and large benches. Overall it’s a very well thought out space with attentive staff and a menu to match.
