Just twenty minutes from Geelong, in the stunning wine region on the Bellarine Peninsula is Mr Grubb Cafe. Nestled in the heart of Oakdene Vineyard, Mr Grubb is a casual bistro style cafe.
The coffee is to a high standard deriving from the family-owned brand, Dimattina that started in Western Australia in the 1950’s. However, being situated in the Oakdene Vineyards you would be a fool to not try some of their superb wine selection.
The cafe is perfect for families enjoying a lunch and also boasts an impressive dinner menu. If you’re not in the mood for a meal the cakes go perfectly well with the creamy blend of Dimattina Coffee.
The cafe is on the larger side with a large indoor space and an outdoor space that spreads amongst the Vineyard’s rustic quirky sculptures.
Mr Grubb is a great option for families with prams. There is also plenty of room outside for the kids to run amok. Mr Grubb is more of a restaurant/cafe, therefore, I wouldn’t suggest getting the laptop out for some afternoon work.
After filling your belly with some delicious food and drink, take a stroll around the property. The kids will be mesmerised by the unique pieces of arts spread through not only the cafe but the hole Vineyard itself.
